Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Came over to Altrincham with my folding bike in car. When putting bike together found handle bar column lose .No tools with me to repair so went to BikeShak who although busy found time to fix it. Excellent service would recommend to anyone in this area
Had the new custom wheels for my commuter fitted on Wednesday. The service was excellent, as was the selection of parts and build quality. Proper Local Bike Shop - a pleasure to deal with - recommended!

Great village shop and the guys really know their stuff. Done a few fixes and minor services for me. Every village needs one. No inflated costs too. Would recommend!

I bought a Raleigh Strada from these guys. This was my third attempt at an electric bike from other sellers - the last two had to be returned because they were not fit for purpose. This bike has been fantastic - I have had it for almost a year and have had absolutely no problems. The battery lasts for ages and the bike is really light and responsive. The after care is really good and I feel they really know a lot about electric bikes which I am not sure was the case with my previous experience. Highly recommend getting your e bike from here.
Brilliant bikes, excellent staff. Massive range of bikes to choose from. Also has a friendly workshop too. Top marks. :-)

When the oil symbol suddenly illuminated my dashboard on my way to work combined with a warning sound, I was at a loss! I would like to thank Halfords in Altrincham for their exceptional customer care and service and for also noting that one of my brake lights wasn't working, a faulty light one certainly shouldn't ignore. Many thanks for a superb service and reasonably priced.
Friendly knowledgeable staff now at bike section. Faulty brake cable replaced under warranty without question. Management need to install an air con system. The temperature was VERY high in store. Might be ok in winter, but like a sauna in summer.
